Alfa Romeo 164 3.0 V6 Busso Automatic – Recaro – AZEV A With some hesitation, I am offering my 1989 Alfa Romeo 164 3.0 V6 for sale. Due to other plans, I no longer have enough time to keep the car on the road and give it the attention it deserves. This is an early, originally Dutch-delivered 164, fitted with the 3.0-litre 12-valve Busso V6 and an automatic transmission. The engine runs well and the mileage is approximately 300,000 kilometres. This 164 is particularly special because of its very rare beige Recaro interior. The front seats are electrically adjustable and the seat heating works. The car also sits on a fully restored staggered set of AZEV A wheels with new Toyo tyres. Recent technical work includes: Timing belt, water pump and thermostat replaced * Original hydraulic timing-belt tensioner upgraded to a mechanical spring-loaded tensioner * ABS rings replaced * Oil-pressure switch replaced * Various electrical functions repaired The car has some rust on the left front wing and left rear quarter panel. Replacement body panels for both areas are included. Also included: * Freshly painted Brembo brakes from an Alfa Romeo 166 * Lowering springs * Various other parts belonging to the car It is not a concours car, but it is a rare and unusually specified early 164 that deserves to go to a genuine enthusiast.
