Austin Healey 100/6 BN4 – 1957 Faithful preparation in the spirit of the great Austin Healey rally cars This 1957 Austin Healey 100/6 comes from Canada, where it was acquired by its current owner in 2023. The car is mechanically very sound and remains close to its original specification, with the exception of a new exhaust system featuring a side exit on the driver's side, built in the pure spirit of the Austin Healey competition cars of the period. The engine runs perfectly and delivers all the character for which the Austin Healey straight-six is renowned. This Austin Healey has been carefully prepared as a tribute to the cars that competed in the major international rallies of the late 1950s and early 1960s. The aim was not to replicate a specific car, but rather to recreate the appearance and spirit of the competition preparations of the era. The upholstery is completely new, with new bucket seats and safety harnesses matching the green bodywork. The original seats are included with the sale. The bodywork is also in good condition, with an older restoration. It is fitted with a hardtop featuring an air intake and sliding side windows, a specific grille with a central opening, Lucas Tripod headlights protected by their original stone guards, auxiliary driving lights and a Lucas rear light, as well as overriders in place of the bumpers. Together, these features give the car an unmistakable appearance reminiscent of the Austin Healeys entered in the great rally events of the period. It is also equipped with a Halda Tripmaster and various navigation instruments intended for historic rallying. These items are not included in the asking price and can be purchased separately.
